  1. Data Classification now scans Unity Catalog views (Beta)

    Scans Unity Catalog views in addition to tables, using the same detection engine, and is currently in Beta.

  2. Genie Code adds conversation controls

    Lets you fork conversations, use /btw for side questions, and edit earlier messages.

  3. Genie Code scheduled tasks are now generally available

    Runs prompts on a recurring schedule, producing a continuable Genie chat with results.

    Retention period increased from 30 to 60 days, applying to UI and REST API updates.

    Automatically classifies and tags sensitive data in Unity Catalog using AI.

  29. SQL alert task for jobs (Beta)

    Evaluates SQL alerts as part of workflows, enabling automated condition checks and notifications.

  30. Some partner-powered AI features are now available in-country for Brazil, Canada, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and the UK

    Requires Enforce data processing within workspace Geography enabled. Data does not leave the country.
